Two people were killed and five others injured in a collision between a truck-trailer and a horse-drawn cart in Kafr Hamza village, Khanka district, Qalyubiya Governorate.
Security forces and traffic police arrived at the scene and determined that excessive speeding was the cause of the collision, which resulted in the complete destruction of the horse-drawn cart.
Ambulances were dispatched to transport the bodies to the morgue and the injured to the Khanka General Hospital.
The Public Prosecution Office is investigating the incident.
