Hot weather expected for Egypt on Saturday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts slightly hot autumn-like conditions on Saturday, across the northern parts of the country, growing hotter in Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will rise significantly in southern Upper Egypt, and the weather will turn cool at night and during the early morning.

Conditions will be slightly hot along the North Coast, hot in Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt, and very hot in southern Upper Egypt.

The weather will be moderate during the early part of the night, becoming cool during the late night and early morning hours.

There is a small-to-moderate chance of light rain in parts of the Northwestern Coast and northern Lower Egypt.

Light to moderate rain, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, is also expected during the evening hours in parts of central and southern Upper Egypt, the Red Sea region, and central and South Sinai.

There is also a slight chance of light rain across parts of the northeastern coast, southern Lower Egypt, and the Suez Canal cities – this may extend intermittently to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.

Winds are expected to pick up across most regions, potentially stirring up sand and dust in parts of southern Upper Egypt and the southern Eastern Desert, while some areas may continue to experience thunderstorm activity.

  • Alexandria: 28C
  • Cairo: 30C
