Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk has decided to open the Agricultural Museum and Egypt Flower Exhibition in Dokki, Giza, free of charge to visitors on October 8, 9 and 10, as part of celebrations marking the October 6 Victory.
The minister directed that all halls of the Agricultural Museum be opened free of charge, allowing visitors to explore Egypt’s agricultural history and development through the ages.
The museum features heritage collections, scientific exhibits, the Plant Wealth Hall, the Cotton Museum, Ancient Egyptian Agriculture Hall, and halls covering the Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic periods, as well as the Syrian Hall and the Egyptian-Chinese Friendship Museum.
Farouk also called for a range of cultural, artistic and entertainment activities throughout the celebrations, targeting different age groups and Egyptian families.
The Agricultural Museum is one of the world’s largest agricultural museums, covering nearly 30 feddans and housing rare collections documenting the development of agriculture in Egypt from the Pharaonic era to modern times.
The Egypt Flower Exhibition operates year-round on an area of 15,000 square meters, featuring more than 80 exhibitors specializing in flowers, ornamental plants and landscaping.
It offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy green spaces and scenic views alongside a tour of the historic Agricultural Museum.
The flower exhibition is open daily from nine am to nine pm, while the Agricultural Museum’s halls are open to visitors until three pm.
