Al-Mabara Heart Academy obtains EACVI accreditation as global center

Ministry of Health and Population announced that Al-Mabara Heart Academy, affiliated with the Therapeutic Institution, has been accredited by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) as a regional training center in cardiovascular imaging.

Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the accreditation marks a major milestone, making Al-Mabara Heart Academy the first accredited center in Egypt and Africa, and the fourth in the Middle East, joining a global network of only 100 accredited centers worldwide.

He added that the achievement reflects the Therapeutic Institution’s efforts to promote medical and educational excellence by providing advanced cardiovascular imaging technologies and applying the highest international European standards.

The center will contribute to developing Egyptian and African medical professionals, strengthening healthcare capabilities for the early and accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.

Mohamed Shaqwir, Chairman of Therapeutic Institution, said the accreditation was achieved through strategic cooperation with sustainable development partners, led by the Commercial International Bank (CIB), which supported the academy’s infrastructure and technical capabilities.

Shaqwir stressed that the accreditation represents a national achievement reflecting Egypt’s commitment to advancing healthcare according to global standards, while continuing to build the capabilities of doctors and researchers and strengthen Egypt’s position in global medicine, particularly in cardiology.

Al-Mabara Heart Academy serves as a model of Egyptian medical excellence, combining advanced clinical expertise, internationally accredited training programs, and modern technology to provide distinguished training and diagnostic services at both regional and global levels.
