Arco Steel workers go on hunger strike

Three hundred employees of Arco Steel, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, went on hunger strike Wednesday evening for what they claim was the unfair firing of four of their colleagues.

“It was an arbitrary decision,” said Abdel Basset Talkhan, one of the dismissed workers. “The strike aims to pressure the management to go back on their decision.”
