Army destroys 38 underground fuel tanks at eastern border

In coordination with the Armed Forces, border guards managed to destroy 38 underground tanks used to store fuel at the northeastern border in Sinai, an Armed Forces spokesperson said.
 
In a statement on Facebook, the spokesperson said 28 of the tanks were used to store diesel and carried 634,000 liters and 10 tanks contained gasoline, with a storage capacity of 2,600,000 liters.
 
Meanwhile, MENA reported that 300,000 liters of diesel were seized before reaching Gaza as well as pumps used to pump fuel to Gaza.
 
The spokesperson said those underground tanks were discovered starting on 12 July as the military campaign against terrorism continues.
