An army soldier was killed Sunday during an exchange of fire with militants in Sheikh Zuwaid, North Sinai.
A security source said a group of militants attacked army personnel, resulting in the death of a soldier and the injury of another.
The injured soldier was transferred to Arish Public Hospital, the source added. A security cordon was imposed around the scene of the attack.
