AUC adds courses about Egypt’s revolution to spring semester

The American University in Cairo (AUC) announced on Monday that it will be launching an educational initiative for the Spring 2011 semester that will give the university's community the opportunity to explore the historic events that recently took place in Egypt.

The initiative will include the adjustment of current courses to address the events of 25 January, when the revolution started, to 11 February, when former President Honsi Mubarak resigned. Seminars and panels will discuss various aspects of the revolution and the future of Egypt.

“In only two days, 40 of our faculty members have created new programs, new workshops and panels, and adjusted the courses to take place this semester,” said AUC Provost Medhat Haroun in a press statement on Monday.
