Brotherhood supporters protest Friday in Alexandria, Cairo

Pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters staged a march in Alexandria following Friday prayers under the slogan “Students ignite the revolution.”
 
The Pro-legitimacy alliance had called for mass protests Friday against the military rule and the security forces’ practices against students.
 
Students Against the Coup movement staged a human chain at Borg al-Arab, west of Alexandria. They raised images for the recently-released Brotherhood female protesters and banners that read “Down with the military rule,” and "The coup is terrorism.”
 
In Cairo, Muslim Brotherhood supporters staged a march in the neighborhood of Mohandeseen, chanting “Down with the military rule,” and raising Rabaa signs and images of toppled President Mohamed Morsy. They used umbrellas and plastic bags to cover themselves from rain.
 
In a related context, altercations occurred between Brotherhood prostesters and supporters of Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Haram district as both exchanged hostile slogans and chants before scuffles took place.
