Building violation reconciliation prices fall to 70% across Egypt

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly received a report from Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Sharawy confirming that reconciliation prices for building violations have been reduced from 20 percent to 70 percent to relieve the burden placed on ordinary citizens, taking into account their social conditions.

These governorates are Cairo, Qalyubia, Alexandria, Beheira, Monufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr el-Sheikh, Damietta, Daqahlia, North Sinai, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, Sharqiya, Minya, Fayoum, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Aswan, Red Sea, Luxor, and South Sinai.

Cairo was the forefront of governorates which received price reductions, Sharawy said, with the first time having had its prices slashed by a 30-55 percent rate.

The average price per square meter in distinguished areas of residential cities reached LE807, while the average in commercial regions is LE1,169, industrial LE709, and in administrative areas LE960.

In Qalyubiya governorate, the reduction rate was 10 and 50 percent.

The average price per square meter in distinguished areas in residential cities ranged between LE300 and LE400, LE1,200 in commercial areas, LE300 in industrial areas, and LE1,500 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in unplanned areas within residential regions ranged from LE150 to LE350, in commercial areas between LE600 and LE1,000, in industrial areas between LE150 and LE250, and in administrative areas from LE750 to LE1,250.

The average price per square meter in residential areas for villages ranged from LE75 to LE150, LE300 in commercial areas LE300, LE75 in industrial areas and LE375 in administrative areas.

The Minister of Local Development stated that the Alexandria Governorate had reduced prices by 25 percent, with the average price per square meter in distinguished city areas recording LE1103, LE1532 in commercial area, LE1367 in industrial areas, and LE1549 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in unplanned areas in cities was LE263 in residential areas, LE421 in commercial areas, LE350 in industrial areas, and LE446 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in village residential areas was LE175, LE258 in commercial areas, LE220 in industrial areas and LE258 in administrative areas.

The Beheira Governorate reduced prices by 20 percent.

The average price per square meter for distinguished areas in cities reached LE433, LE780 in commercial areas, LE481 in industrial areas and in LE763 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in unplanned areas in cities were LE240 in residential areas, LE395 in commercial areas, LE263 in industrial areas and LE450 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in villages reached LE115 in residential areas, LE193 in commercial, LE143 in industrial areas and LE230 in administrative areas.

Monufiya Governorate reduced prices by 20 percent and the average price per square meter in cities LE500 in residential areas,LE1500 in commercial areas, LE500 in industrial areas, and LE500 in administrative areas.

In cities the average price per square meter in unplanned areas recorded LE119 in residential areas, LE350 in commercial areas, LE195 in industrial areas, and LE270 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in villages reached LE120 in residential areas, LE290 in commercial areas, LE315 in industrial areas and LE290 in administrative areas.

Gharbiya Governorate reduced prices between 30 and 40 percent.

The average price per square meter in distinguished areas in cities was in residential areas LE576, in commercial areas LE774, in industrial areas LE260, and in administrative areas LE813.

The average price per square meter in unplanned areas in cities recorded in residential areas LE411, commercial areas LE517, industrial areas LE206, and administrative areas LE569.

The average price per square meter in villages reached for residential areas LE150, commercial areas LE259, industrial LE119 and administrative areas LE259.

Kafr El-Sheikh governorate reduced prices between 25 and 40 percent.

In cities the average price per square meter was LE1350 in residential areas, LE1798 in commercial areas, LE879 in industrial areas, and LE1857 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in villages was LE205 in residential areas, LE266 in commercial areas, LE153 in industrial areas, and LE300 in administrative areas.

Damietta governorate reduced rates by 30 percent.

In cities the average price per square meter for residential areas ranged between LE200 and LE500, in commercial areas between LE280 and LE700, in industrial areas between LE220 and LE500, and in administrative areas between LE 250 and LE500.

The average price per square meter in unplanned areas in cities was between LE100 and LE300 in residential areas, LE200 and LE500 in commercial areas, LE120 and LE300 in industrial areas, and LE120 and LE300 in administrative areas.

The average price per square meter in villages reached in residential areas ranged between LE75 and LE100, in commercial areas between LE100 and LE180, and LE75 in both industrial and administrative areas.

The Daqahlia governorate reduced rates between 10 to 20 percent.

In cities there the average price per square meter in residential areas was LE900, in commercial areas LE850, in industrial areas LE650, and in administrative areas LE750.
