Cold weather continues across Egypt on Thursday

Meteorologists expect more cold weather across Egypt on Thursday, with heavy rain predicted along the northern coasts and parts of Lower Egypt and light to moderate rainfall predicted in Cairo and areas in northern Upper Egypt.

Maximum temperatures expected for the following cities are: 15C in Cairo and Alexandria and 17C in Qena, Luxor, and Aswan.

Winds will be northwestern and active, disturbing sands and dusts in Egypt’s South and disrupting maritime navigation in the Mediterranean and Red Sea.

Frost will also cover farmland in central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be turbulent, ranging between three and four meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
