Cold weather, rains expected for Thursday, Cairo 19C

Meteorologists expect cold weather and rains in the north of the country until northern Upper Egypt on Thursday. Warm weather is expected for southern Upper Egypt during daylight hours, growing very cold at night throughout the entire country.

Low and medium-level clouds will cover Egypt, accompanied by rains in the mainland. Torrents are expected to fall in central Sinai and the Red Sea mountains.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are 19C in Cairo, 19C in Alexandria, 24C in Qena, 24C in Luxor, 25C in Aswan.

Winds will be active and moderate in the western coasts, Lower Egypt, Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, blowing up sands and dusts in the desert areas.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, with rougher waves in the Red Sea around 2 to 2.5 meters in height. Surface winds will be northwesterly in both seas.
