Culture Minister Saber Aarb, accompanied by Salah Melegy, head of the Fine Arts Sector at the ministry, plan to attend the 24th session of the Youth Salon competetion at the Opera House, held under the slogan “Crossing to the future.”
The event will take place on Sunday, 15 December, at Palace of Arts in the Opera House.
“The Youth Salon could very well be the most prominent artistic event that sheds light on real artistic experiences,” said Melegy.
The slogan “Crossing to the future” represents the current era in Egypt, which experiences historic developments and changes.
The total prizes of the salon this year is LE146,000, of which LE140,000 are official awards.
The competition comprises 171 works of fine arts by 155 artists under 35 years old. The remaining LE6,000 are awards for criticism art works, he said.
