Defendant referred to Abbasiya Mental Health Hospital for impersonating a doctor

The Kafr al-Sheikh Criminal Court referred on Tuesday a defendant accused of impersonating a doctor to Abbasiya Mental Health Hospital for 45 days to be examined. The examination will determine whether the defendant is mentally stable and submit a report to court.

The defendant H. A., a resident of Kafr al-Sheikh, practiced medicine in the field of neurology without a permit for eight years at a medical clinic in the Sakha district of Kafr al-Sheikh.

He was dismissed from the Faculty of Medicine when he was a student in the second stage.

The court referred him to a mental hospital because of the suspicion that he is psychologically unstable.

In January, the Health Affairs Directorate in Kafr al-Sheikh filed a claim against A. for impersonating a neurologist and practicing medicine without a permit at a clinic in the Sakha neighborhood.
