Dozens protest Kerry’s visit at Foreign Ministry

A march joined dozens started at Talaat Harb Square Saturday evening, heading to the Foreign Ministry headquarters on the Nile Corniche, to denounce newly appointed US Secretary of State John Kerry's visit to Egypt.

The march came in response to the calls by some political movements to denounce what they called a move by US Ambassador Anne Patterson to "transform Egypt into Pakistan."

Demonstrators chanted a number of slogans against US and the Muslim Brotherhood.

The participants in the march claimed that the purpose of Kerry’s visit is to support the Muslim Brotherhood and interfere in the internal affairs of Egypt. They rejected US pressure on the opposition to participate in the national dialogue and the upcoming elections.
