Education minister to create Facebook page for suggestions and complaints

Minister of Education Ahmed Gamal Eddin Moussa announced he will create a personal Facebook page to connect with the community and teachers. He said it will help him learn more about teachers’ aspirations and problems. In statements to state television Moussa said he understands the need for development, and the fact that people's ideas are changing.

The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which has been running the country's affairs since the ouster of former President Hosni Mubarak, have already created a Facebook page in order to communicate with Egyptians and the revolutionary youth of 25 January.

Moussa said the high school system in place is inefficient and that school curricula will be re-evaluated. Meanwhile, hundreds of high school students in the governorates of Qena and Daqahlia have staged several protests during the past two days demanding the modification of the “nightmarish” high school curricula.
