EgSA: Launch of experimental satellite NExSat set for Jan 30

CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) Sherif Sedqi has said that the launch of Egypt’s experimental Earth observation satellite “NExSat” will be on January 30, 2024.

He made his remarks on Tuesday 5/12/2023 on the sidelines of the launch in China of the Egyptian remote sensing MisrSat-2 satellite during a meeting with officials of the China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), which is a separate entity of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) and is the corporation authorized by the Chinese government to provide satellites, commercial launch services and to carry out international space cooperation.

Both sides discussed the space duties of the agency in 2024, according to a statement issued by the agency.
