Egypt to consider cultivation of 100,000 acres in Sudan

The Board of the Egyptian-Sudanese Agricultural Integration Company is scheduled to meet in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Saturday to discuss the possibility of increasing the 20,000 acres it is cultivating in the ​​Damazin area of the Blue Nile region to 100,000 acres of sesame, cotton and sunflower fields.
 
Rainwater storage will also be discussed, as well as the drilling of wells to provide water for agricultural, livestock and industrial projects.
 
Irrigation Minister Hossam Maghazy said in a press statement on Wednesday that President Sisi strongly supports the agricultural integration projects between Egypt and Sudan.
