EgyptAir announces new restrictions for UK travel

In light of the United Kingdom’s latest travel restrictions, EgyptAir called on its customers traveling to and from London as of June 8 to make sure they complete the following checklist before departure. 

According to an Egyptair statement, instructions and restrictions for travelers from Egypt to the UK are as follows:

– Only those who have the right to reside in the UK will be allowed to travel from Egypt to the UK.

– Travelers must book a room for quarantine in an approved hotel, and coronavirus tests must be booked before travel through: https://quarantinehotelbookings.ctmportal.co.uk/.

– Passengers must present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before the flight’s departure. Two PCR tests should be conducted within two days of arrival in the UK, as well as after the eighth day of arrival.

– Passengers must fill out the required data on the passenger data form (PLF) to record quarantine data and book tests.

-Passengers arriving from Egypt will be received at designated places at London Heathrow Airport upon arrival.

For travelers from the UK to Egypt, a negative PCR test taken no more than 96 hours before the flight is required. 

The airline also called on all customers to review the travel requirements published on its website before traveling. Passengers can also review this information by calling 1717 or visiting an EgyptAir office.
