Security forces in Alexandria arrested a content creator accused of posting “inappropriate” videos on her social media account of her dancing in “indecent” clothing and using crude language.
The General Directorate for the Protection of Public Morals, part of the Specialized Police Sector, had been monitoring the circulation of several videos belonging to the suspect on social media platforms.
Investigations revealed that she was broadcasting content containing suggestive language and inappropriate expressions in an attempt to attract followers and increase viewership.
Following legal procedures, the police apprehended the suspect, who had a prior criminal record, in Montazah area in Alexandria Governorate.
Forensic examination of her phone confirmed that it contained the videos in question, as well as evidence confirming her activity on social media.
When confronted, the suspect admitted to posting the videos to achieve high viewership and thus increase her online earnings.
The necessary legal procedures were initiated, and the relevant authorities have begun their investigation.
