Egypt’s Sisi holds phone talks with king of Jordan, discusses bilateral ties

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received a phone call on Sunday, from Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.

The Egyptian presidential spokesperson Bassam Rady explained that the call touched on some issues related to bilateral cooperation, as well as exchanging views and visions regarding developments in regional and international issues of common interest.

King Abdullah II expressed his pride in the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and Jordan, in light of the permanent coordination between the leaderships of the two countries.

The Jordanian monarch also stressed his desire to push forward bilateral cooperation at various levels, and praised the recent convening of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee in Cairo headed by the prime ministers of the two countries.

Rady added that President Sisi expressed to King Abdullah his pride in the continuous development of bilateral relations between the two countries and coordination on various regional and international issues.

Sisi urged on continued efforts to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation between the two nations in various areas, to maximizes the common interests of the two countries.

He also referred to the positive results of the recent meetings of the Supreme Committee between the two sides.
