ElBaradei back in Cairo

Mohamed ElBaradei, former chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency and potential contender for the presidency, returned yesterday to Cairo and was received at the airport by his brother Ali.

Sources said ElBaradei did not wish the media to learn the time of his arrival in Cairo and only informed a handful of his close supporters of the date of his return.

George Ishaq, coordinator for the governorates at the National Association for Change (NAC) founded by ElBaradei, confirmed the arrival, saying that ElBaradei is expected to participate in a meeting of the NAC tomorrow to evaluate its recent performance.

In the upcoming period ElBaradei will meet with members of the Campaign to Support Elbaradei for the Presdiency 2011. He is also expected to tour several governorates.
