Morsy: President and all others will be under authority of constitution

Presidential hopeful Mohamed Morsy said on Sunday that everyone will be under the rule of law and the constitution, including the president and any other official in the state or in the armed forces.

Morsy, who represents the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, highlighted the need for a constitution that guarantees rights, duties and equality among people.

During a rally in Minya attended by thousands of citizens on Sunday, Morsy said the biggest target of the renaissance project, which is based on Islam, is achieving stability, industrial progress and human development.

Investors are awaiting the end of presidential election to launch new investments, estimated at LE200 billion, Morsy said. The FJP is in contact with 15 international companies to boost the economy and provide jobs during the next four years.

Morsy’s electoral platform includes reviving relations with the Nile Basin countries. He said a shortage of Nile water resources could develop due to consumption and the need to reclaim millions of feddans in the desert.

According to the candidate, the people will not allow anyone to take the country or the revolution backward. He called for the elections to be completely secured so that a legitimate representative for the country can come into power.
