Five siblings—four girls and a boy, aged between eight and 15— passed away due to a gas leak in their home in the village of Mit Asim, in the Benha district of Qalyubiya Governorate.
Security forces at the Qalyubiya Security Directorate received a report on the incident from the emergency police department on Friday, and police and ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Initial investigations revealed that the five siblings died from gas inhalation caused by a faulty water heater in their home.
The bodies were transferred to a nearby hospital for autopsy and further investigation.
Security forces in the Qalyubiya Governorate are continuing their efforts to uncover the details of the incident and take the necessary legal measures.
