Assistant Foreign Minister for American affairs Hazem Fahmi accompanied Latin America ambassadors accredited in Egypt on a two-day visit to New Alamein city.
The Foreign Ministry organized the visit within the framework of promoting for Egyptian potentials in various domains, especially developing the infrastructure, establishing smart cities and launching giant projects.
The Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that ambassadors met with Matrouh Governor Khaled Shoeib who briefed them on the construction of New Alamein city to be a modern and smart city.
The governor posted the ambassadors on various giant projects in Matrouh and efforts to expand investments to secure more jobs.
Meanwhile, Fahmi underlined the ministry’s interest in apprising of mega projects established in Egypt since 2014 within the framework of building the new republic in order to boost investments and tourism and attain the Sustainable Development Goals via Egypt Vision 2030.
The ambassadors visited the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Alamein International University.
