Gaber Nassar: Private security companies refused to contract with Cairo University

A Cabinet official told Al-Masry Al-Youm the Cabinet discussed in a meeting on Thursday a report about violence and sabotage at universities.

The minister of higher education submitted a report about the educational process amid violence at different universities.

The Cabinet stressed the need to back the security forces to be able to carry out their duty and protect facilities.

President of Cairo University Gaber Nassar said the administration contacted a number of private security companies but all of them refused to contract with the university saying they could not deal with the incidents.

Nassar said the administrative security personnel were doing their best and already comb the buildings twice a day and monitor the surveillance cameras.
