Security forces have arrested an accountant in the Fifth Settlement following allegations of verbal harassment and physical assault against a young woman. Under interrogation, the suspect confessed to the physical altercation, claiming it escalated from a verbal dispute between himself and the complainant.
The investigation was initiated after a video clip circulated online, in which the victim’s sister documented the incident, stating that the man in the video had physically assaulted her sister after she rejected his unwanted advances.
Law enforcement successfully identified and located the victim, who sustained multiple bruises across her body. Upon questioning, she stated that while walking within the jurisdiction of the First Settlement Police Department, an individual verbally harassed her. When she confronted him about his behavior, he physically assaulted her.
Following a targeted deployment, security forces apprehended the perpetrator, identified as a local accountant residing within the First Settlement area. When confronted with the allegations, the suspect denied the harassment charge, claiming instead that a mutual verbal altercation had occurred, during which both parties assaulted one another.
