Heat wave across Egypt to recede on Wednesday: EMA

Meteorologists anticipate the heat wave to recede on Wednesday, with normal summer weather to return on all parts of Egypt until the beginning of next week, with northwesterly winds flowing across the Mediterranean, especially in the northern parts of the country.

Meteorologists warned against exposure to the sun during peak hours, especially amid the increasing humidity, as temperatures will reach 37C in Cairo during daytime hours, and 34C in Alexandria Governorate, and exceed 40C in the southern governorates.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of high humidity which will increases the feeling of hot weather, than announced in their daily statement.

The EMA advised citizens to drink plenty of cold liquids, wear loose and cotton clothes, wear a head covering during peak hours of temperature, and be in well-ventilated places.
