The current heat wave will end next Sunday, according to Chairman of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) Ahmed Abdel-Aal in a statement to Al-Masry Al-Youm.
He added that citizens must ensure they drink a lot between breakfast and Suhoor time, increase their intake of foods with high liquid content and avoid direct exposure to the sun.
Meteorologists had predicted the very hot weather to continue on Monday in the daylight hours, with milder temperatures at night.
Mists will affect visibility in the north during the morning in the north. Winds will be mostly moderate and at the north east. They will also be active in the west, accompanied by dust and sand, as well as north of Upper Egypt and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting navigation there.
