Hot weather expected on Monday, Cairo 37C


Meteorologists anticipate hot weather on Monday across Egypt.

Milder temperatures are predicted along the north coast, with the highest temperatures south of Upper Egypt during the daylight hours, growing milder by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 31C in Alexandria, 37C in Cairo, 38C in Qena, and 39C in Luxor and Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning, and low and medium-level clouds are to be expected.

Winds are predicted to be northwestern and mild, active on the northwestern coasts and the Mediterranean Sea, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, while the waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meters.

Surface winds on both seas will be northwestern.
