Hot weather for Egypt on Sunday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather on Sunday during the daytime on Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with hot weather on northern Upper Egypt, and very high temperatures on southern Upper Egypt.

Mild weather is expected over the northern coasts.

By nightfall the weather will grow mild on most parts of the country, and moderate at Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 28C in Alexandria, 34C in Cairo, 42C in Qena, 43C in Luxor, and 44C in Aswan.

Maximum and minimum humidity levels are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 80-30, the northern coasts 85-40, northern Upper Egypt 50-25, and southern Upper Egypt 25-15.

Light rainfall is expected across the northern coasts.

Winds will be mostly northwesterly and moderate across most of Egypt, active on Upper Egypt blowing up sand and dust and South Sinai, while disrupting maritime navigation in the Red Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate, ranging one and 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height.

Surface winds on both seas will be northwestern.
