Hot weather predicted for Monday, Cairo 36C


Meteorologists anticipate hot weather on Monday across Egypt. Milder temperatures are expected along the north coast, with the hottest temperatures in southern Upper Egypt in the daylight hours, growing mild by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows; 31C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 41C in Qena, 42C in Luxor, and 43C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are to be expected in the north, with winds expected to be northwestern and moderate, active on South Sinai and Gulf of Suez, disrupting the maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be slightly stronger and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height.

Surface winds will be northwestern on both seas.
