Interior Ministry to adopt ‘severe measures’ against fraud and intimidation during elections

The Interior Ministry has announced that it would adopt "severe measures" against anyone who attempts to tamper with the elections in any way, and threatened to disqualify candidates who use illegal means of campaigning or commit acts of thuggery.

In related news, Yousry Abdel Karim, head of the High Elections Committee’s technical office, said Egyptians living in Israel have the right to vote. He added that the results of all single-winner contests would be announced on the same day, while the results of the list-based system would be announced at the end of the third round of elections.
