Minister: NTRA will tackle reduction of internet prices

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) will consider reducing Internet prices, Telecommunications Minister Khaled Negm said recently, indicating that bad Internet service has been offered over the past three years.
 
“Unfortunately, Internet service has seen a significant decline in quality,” he said.
 
On the sidelines of a conference on information technology’s role in social development, Negm said that the Internet service is basic for citizens and is being strongly supported by the government.
 
He added that the NTRA’s board will tackle in the first meeting after its reformation the reduction of Internet prices, as well as the enhancemnt of services rendered to citizens.
