Minister says Saudi investors didn’t leave Egypt after revolution

Trade and Industry Minister Mahmoud Eissa said Tuesday none of Egypt’s Saudi investors have left the country since the 25 January revolution.

Eissa told the Saudi Al-Medina newspaper that Saudi investors remain in Egypt, as they completely trust in the Egyptian market.

“Egyptian laborers in the kingdom are well-taken care of,” the minister added, emphasizing that the Saudi government has no intention of taking action against the laborers.

He also said that Egypt is keen on cooperating with the Saudi government through joint investments and projects between the two countries.

Eissa added that his country is paying attention to Saudi investments in Egypt and taking advantage of the historical relationship among the two countries.

Eissa also referred to complete cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to resolve any problems that face their joint investments.
