Moderate, cloudy weather for Egypt on Monday

Meteorologists predict moderate and partially cloudy weather on Monday during the daytime on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts, with sunny and moderately hot weather in Upper Egypt.

The weather will grow cold across most parts of the country by nightfall, and mild on southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 15C in Alexandria, 17C in Cairo, 19C in Qena, 20C in Luxor, and 21C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility during morning time in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt.

Winds will be mostly northwestern and moderate across most of the country, and active on South Sinai, potentially disrupting maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez.

Experts note that the northern parts of the country are affected by a high-pressure area, centered on eastern the Mediterranean Sea, while the southern parts of the country are affected by the extension of the Sudan low-pressure area.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height, with southeastern surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds.
