Morsy supporters set vehicles on fire after march dispersed in Nasr City

Supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsy set a police vehicle and five other cars on fire near al-Salam mosque in Nasr City after security dispersed their march on Wednesday.

Police fired teargas bombs to disperse them and witnesses reported hearing bird shots fired.

The Brotherhood had earlier called for protests coinciding with Morsy’s trial at the Police Academy.

The trial, however, was rescheduled until 1 February after poor weather conditions delayed Morsy’s flight to court.
