Moussa to begin presidential campaign in Upper Egypt

Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, will commence his campaign for Egypt’s presidency in Upper Egypt. Moussa will start his bid with a five-day tour. Setting off from Aswan, he will visit Luxor, Qena, Souhag, Assiut, Minya, and Beni Suef.

A statement by Moussa’s bureau said the tour is his first in Upper Egypt since declaring his intention to run for the presidency. It said the aim behind the visit was to get a closer look at problems in Upper Egypt. The statement also said that Moussa pledges to help the region and believes it suffered marginalization and neglect for decades in terms of development.

Moussa plans to revisit Upper Egypt when he announces his platform which would be introduced soon, he said.
