Muslim Brotherhood denies links to suspect involved in Mansoura blast

Information Secretary Ahmed Othman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) in Daqahliya denied on Wednesday Muslim Brotherhood’s link to the suspect involved in the Mansoura bombing.

Security earlier arrested Muslim Brotherhood member called Yasser Adel accompanied by his mother and friend at Cairo International Airport on their to way to Turkey.

Security sources said on Tuesday the suspect was involved in killing of 15 persons and injury of dozens. He is the son of Adel Youness Rashed, a Brotherhood figure in Belqas city in Daqahliya governorate and former member of the dissolved parliament.

“Being a son of a Brotherhood figure doesn’t mean he belongs to the group,” Othman said.

He added that Yasser was heading to Turkey to visit his father who has been living there for almost a year.
