Tahya Masr newspaper has declared its official Facebook page is back online, hours after it was hacked by the terrorist Islamic State group.
The IS hacked the newspaper's page early on Thursday, one day after hacking the privately-owned radio station Nogoom FM’s page on Wednesday.
The group published photos and videos of killing of Egyptian soldiers with threats to the Armed Forces and tags: "We came to kill you", "You are being watched", "Islamic intelligence", "Sinai state" and others.
The hackers also published a photo for Shady al-Meneiy, head of Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis terrorist group, which has pledged allegiance to the IS and renamed itself as Sinai State.
Although security services earlier confirmed Meneiy’s death, the group denied this, showing a photograph of him using a computer with the flag of his group in the background. The same situation took place almost a year ago, when a security source told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Meneiy was killed, which was denied by the group, who showed a picture of him, reading the news about his murder.
