Police fire teargas to disperse Brotherhood students in Nasr City

On Wednesday, security forces dispersed hundreds of Azhar University students affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood using teargas canisters after they blocked al-Mokhayyam al-Da’em road in Nasr City district and attempted to break into the Faculty of Commerce.

The students fled through the alleys and protested once again inside campus. Security personnel closed the administrative building after fears that students would break in.

Two armored vehicles entered the university and fired teargas, while students hurled stones and fireworks at police.

Several people suffered from asphyxia.

Sada al-balad website mentioned that MB protesters at Cairo University’s Faculty of Medicine on Qasr al-Aini street were demanding the release of detained colleagues.
