Preparatory students set school on fire in Giza

Giza criminal investigations police arrested three students at Kafr Hakim Preparatory School in Kerdasa, on charges of setting the school on fire.

Initial investigations revealed that the three students threw petrol at the school gate, set it on fire, and fled the scene.

The school administration informed the Kerdasa Police Station of the incident, and a security force moved to the scene of the report and tracked down the suspects.

The trio were arrested and confessed to committing the incident, in retaliation against school officials because one of them and another student sustained bruises during a stampede on the stairs while leaving the school day on Thursday.

The suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution Office for further investigation.
