Protester killed in Minya clashes on Friday

One protester died on Friday in clashes between supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and police in Minya, as security forces tried to disperse a march that started after Friday prayers in Minya City.
 
The protest started from Abdel Gawad Salem Mosque. Protesters chanted against the Interior Ministry and the military.
 
Police attempted to break up the march by using tear gas and chased protesters into side streets, killing one protester in the scuffle.
 
Police arresed a Muslim Brotherhood leader in Smalout, Minya Governorate, during a protest outside al-Fatah Mosque. Two others were arrested in a march organized in Beni Mazar, Minya Governorate following clashes between protesters and police.
 
Muslim Brotherhood supporters organized another march from Omar Ibn al-Khattab Mosque in al-Adwa Village, Minya Governorate.
