Security forces, pro-MB protesters clash in Ain Shams

Al-Matareya Metro Station was closed temporarily on Friday due to clashes between the pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters and the security forces at al-Naam Square in Ain Shams neighborhood.

Clashes occurred as protesters released fireworks and threw bottles at an apartment building after a resident threatened protesters at al-Naam Square to throw a gas cylinder to disperse them.

The demonstrators set fire to tires to block entrances and exits of the square and prevent the police from reaching them.

A number of protesters used fireworks and shot bullets in the air to intimidate police forces. The protesters reportedly had also caught a security personnel in plain attire and beat him.
