Sisi’s tears seen seven times in the media

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi cried in front of the media seven times, the last of which was seen on Wednesday.

The first situation was when Sisi tried to control his tears in 2013 during the October War celebrations while showing a video that dated back to July 2013, during which he was calling on Egyptians to give him the authority to fight terrorism.

During the celebrations of the third anniversary of January 2011 uprising in 2014, organized by the armed forces, Sisi’s tears were seen as he was listening to a child called Saifullah Magdy, who cried while signing to his father, a police officer killed by terrorists.

During the same ceremony, when Major General Mohamed Ibrahim, and the former interior minister, mentioned what Sisi, then-defense minister, offered to Egypt, everyone noticed him crying.

In a speech on June 24, 2014, Sisi wept as he asked Egyptians to help him and when discussing Arab countries’ support to Egypt.

During the economic summit held in Sharm al-Sheikh in 2015, Sisi also cried as he remembered the deceased Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz.

On the fifth anniversary of January uprising in 2016, Sisi cried while Ali Abdel Fattah, father of a police victim, received the Order of the Republic. The father said, “this is the third victim of my family. I had two victims from the armed forces and the third one was a police officer.”

In parliament during speaker Ali Abdelaal’s speech, Sisi wept as Abdelaal praised his role as well as that of the armed forces and police in preserving security nationwide.
