President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will visit Athens next week to meet with the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades as part of the tripartite cooperation between the three countries and to discuss the Cyprus summit.
In a statement Thursday, the Greek Embassy in Cairo said that the tripartite summit is expected to discuss overall regional issues, means to confront terrorism and developments in the Middle East, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between the three countries in international forums and regional organizations like the United Nations and cooperation in fields like tourism and energy.
The statement quoted the Greek prime minister as stressing the importance of cooperation between the three countries to achieve peace and stability in North Africa and the Middle East.
