Six killed, 30 injured in collisions from bad weather Monday

Six people were killed and 30 others were injured as a result of weather-related collisions Monday.
 
Heavy mist covered many governorates on Monday, affecting visibility on roads.
 
Three were killed and six others were injured in Beni Suef, three were killed in Beheira and five were injured, and 19 were injured in Sohag in three separate collisions.
 
Qena's Farshout had a power outage as a result of high wind speed, shutting down the drinking water system in the area.
 
The General Authority for Roads and Bridges closed the Naklh al-Naqb-Taba road in South Sinai following a small rock avalanche on the road due to heavy rain.
 
Hurghada also had a power outage on Monday, though electricity was restored an hour later.
 
In Minya, the head of the Agricultural Crops Association, Mohamed Othman, said the tomatoes, wheat and trefoil crops were harmed by the bad weather.
 
Standing rain water causes heavy mist in the morning, said Ahmed Abdel Aal, the head of the Meteorological Authority.
