Strong Egypt Party members submit collective resignations

Several founding members of Strong Egypt Party in Qalyubiya have submitted a collective resignation.

The party's Obour secretary said several members of the secretariat in Shubra al-Kheima, as well as 10 founding members in Kafr Shokr, had submitted their resignations in protest against the Strong Egypt Party's stance on 30 June demonstrations.

Ahmed Fathy Shaqran, a member of the party’s supreme body who was among those resigning, said one of the reasons he submitted his resignation was due to the contradiction between the opinions of the party and its leaders over ongoing incidents.

He also mentioned the absence of a clear position by the party to handle the current situation.
