Suspending al-Bernameg has nothing to do with political pressure: CBC interviewer

Lamees al-Hadidy, interviewer at Hona al-Asema talk show on CBC channel, said Saturday evening that channel owner Mohamed al-Ameen has not suspended Bassem Youssef's program al-Bernameg due to political pressure.
"We stick to the space of freedom we are working under," she said.
She added she hopes the channel and the company of al-Bernameg will reach a compromise soon.
Disagreement had emerged since the first episode and the dispute between the CBC and Bassem Youssef is not the first of its kind as Youssef had disagreed with other channels before CBC, according to Hadidy.
Hadidy said that the "30 June front" must hold together and think calmly, adding disagreements happened in all channels.
Hadidy said she hopes the Friday episode that has been cancelled will be broadcasted, calling on Youssef to return and try to bring his views closer to Ameen's stances.
