Temperatures to increase across Egypt on Thursday, Friday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced on Wednesday that temperatures are expected to increase across Egypt on Thursday and Friday, and will continue to increase in the coming week.

The authority predicted moderately hot weather for Cairo and Lower Egypt on Thursday, with mild weather on the northern coasts, hot weather in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, and very hot weather in Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 35C in Greater Cairo, 34C in Lower Egypt, 26C on the northwestern coasts, 28C on the northeastern coasts, 36C in South Sinai and Red Sea mountains, 39C in northern Upper Egypt, and 42C in southern Upper Egypt.

Winds on Thursday will be moderate nationwide, active in Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and Red Sea mountains, and will disturb maritime navigation in some areas.

Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather in Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt on Friday, with mild weather on the northern coasts, hot weather in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, and very hot weather in southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 33C in Greater Cairo, 33C in Lower Egypt, 26C on the northwestern coasts, 26C on the northeastern coasts and central Sinai, 36C in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, 34C in northern Upper Egypt, and 42C in southern Upper Egypt.

Winds will be moderate nationwide, active at times in Greater Cairo, and active on the northeastern coasts. Winds will stir up sand in some areas, and will affect maritime navigation in south Sinai and the Red Sea.
